#Flashback to the exclusive VIP event with celebrity makeup artist Ricky Wilson: @rickywilsonbeauty I attended this event with my mom at Nordstrom within the Somerset Collection in Troy, Michigan. When we arrived, there was a beautiful display of neatly set tables with delicious hors d’oeuvres and mimosas. The event consisted of Ricky demonstrating various beauty and makeup tips, including moisturizers for all skin types, and how to turn your daytime makeup into a glamorous nighttime look. Ricky was so kind and personally took time to share some awesome beauty tips with me! One of my favorite tips is how to get a beautiful ombre lip effect.
One thing that those close to me already know, especially my Eclectic Chic readers, is that I LOVE a bold lip with a pop of color (my favorite nighttime and fall deep lip colors is Mac’s Diva #Mac #Diva). Ricky and I chose two colors, from the same color family (a deep purple, and a light purple). Ricky then bordered the outer rim of my lips with the deeper color, and then colored the inner part of my lips with the lighter color. This created a beautiful and unique ombre effect…so eclectic! I will definitely be using this beauty tip for the remaining part of the summer, and well into the fall season!
