We made it!!! I am so blessed and grateful to have had the opportunity to walk in New York Fashion Week SS2018 this fall! This was my first time in NYC during NYFW, and it was nothing short of incredible! In upcoming posts, Eclectic Chic will bring you the behind the scenes of all of the NYFW shows I walked in and attended…but first, here’s some NYC fun! You know I could not visit NYC without fitting in some fun exploring and hanging out with my East Coast friends in between model castings, fittings and shows.
We’re here in the city that never sleeps! I love the hustle and bustle of the city, and am so excited that I was able to stay in a hotel this close to Times Square. Needless to say that this is the best place in the world for people watching.
Thank goodness!! Gotham Pizza was walking distance from my hotel! I have to tell you that this is my favorite pizza shop in the city! If you have a chance to go, be sure to try the Buffalo Chicken pizza…and tell them that Lia sent you! That’s my favorite type of pizza at Gotham. I could not just get one slice. I had to get two!
I’ve been all over the world, but there is no place like NYC! When I’m here, I can be unapologetically me…that’s the best feeling in the world!
I know my heart, Doice works so hard and is super busy! I’m so happy that he was able to make time to come see me and spend a nice night out with me while I was in the city. We were able to have a nice rooftop dinner at 230 and 5th ave. Then we kept the night going with dancing at The Stonewall and Disco Night at The Monster in West Village! So much fun!
After my second model fitting for NYFW, I was able to stop and have a nice relaxing lunch in the park in Midtown.
I love being in NYC, because there are always opportunities to make new friend. A little girl from Nigeria, named Leila, was with her family eating at the table next to mine. She was so adorable and even picked these beautiful flowers for me.
I was so excited to see my friend Rob! It worked out perfectly that my model casting was in the same area as his rehearsal! We found a nice Thai restaurant, and my craving for pad thai was finally satisfied. I look forward to the best conversations when Rob and I get to visit. Be sure to check him out at a city near you in Motown the Musical National Tour.
That’s it for now! Stay tuned for more updates from this fall’s NYFW! Happy Monday, loves!
