So it finally happened! Eclectic Chic was invited to come to New York City this Fall for New York Fashion Week. Some of the top highlights from this trip included getting backstage VIP access to Rihanna’s FentyxPUMA runway show; meeting celebrity eyewear designer, Corey Woods at his YEROC runway show; and booking runway shows and modeling for 6 different designers from around the world. It was incredible! Last night, after finishing my final walk for the last designer, I had the pleasure of checking into my Deluxe Suite at The Stewart Hotel! Eclectic Chic would like to send a big thank you to our friends at The Stewart Hotel for being more than accommodating and adding a special touch to my to wonderful experience!
Eclectic Chic at The Stewart Hotel
The Stewart Hotel provided me with one of their beautiful apartment-style 670 square foot Deluxe Suites. Included in my suite was a comfortable queen bedroom, 2 bathrooms, 2 closets, separate living room and office area, kitchen, and 2 large flat screen televisions. Needless to say, I LOVED it!
The Stewart’s lobby is the definition of “eclectic chic” at it’s finest, demonstrating the perfect blend of traditional and modern elements. The primary neutral tones were enhanced with nice pops of bright fuchsia and green colors that helped to create an aesthetically pleasing setting to greet its guests. Photo courtesy of The Stewart.
Eclectic Chic had an incredible and busy NYFW experience. I had to promptly arrive at The Stewart Hotel for a 9am model call time and did not walk off of the runway until 8 o’clock that evening. After what felt like a whirlwind of hair and makeup changes, 6 outfit changes for 5 different designers, and strutting on and off of the runway from morning until night, it felt absolutely AMAZING to curl up in a cozy robe and fall into this beautiful queen bed. Good night and sweet dreams!
Room Service Anyone?
Immediately after I walked into my suite and took a mini tour, I called room service. The picture above does not do this meal justice. It was incredibly well-prepared and delicious…just what I needed after my hectic day. Paired with a beautiful, classic bottle of red wine and chocolate chip cookies (a welcome gift for me from The Stewart), this made for an amazingly delectable dinner.
Office and Dining Room Area
New York Fashion Week has been absolutely wonderful! I’m so glad that my deluxe suite at The Stewart has a nice office space for me to get some work done and catch up with my Eclectic Chic readers. It’s time to do some blogging! Then on to some afternoon shopping and a nice sunset rooftop dinner with Doice on 5th Avenue.
I promise, I’m almost done Doice! We will be able to go to dinner soon!
Living Room Area
I love how the living room, dining room and bedroom were all sectioned and organized into separate spaces. It has a nice luxe residential vibe that flowed well and made me feel right at home! How much is rent? I think I found my new beautiful NYC apartment! Instead of ‘Eloise at The Plaza’, how about ‘Lia at The Stewart’? It has a nice ring to it, right?
The Kitchen and Dining Room Area
Tea Time
When I am at home, whether getting ready for a fashion photoshoot, preparing to see clients at my private practice office for individual and family therapy sessions, or just relaxing during the weekend, I always have a nice cup of tea. There is nothing like a hot cup of tea to “kick” start your day.
I loved having the option of dining out or being able to make something in my kitchen. You all know that I travel a lot, and love trying the cuisines that different cities and countries have to offer. NYC is definitely no exception to that…especially when I think of my favorite slice of NY-style buffalo chicken pizza! Yum! However, I love that I could pick up a few groceries and keep my meals nice and balanced during my stay. If you don’t feel like cooking in your kitchen or going out into the city for a good meal, don’t worry. I was able to enjoy nice buffet breakfasts at the Niles NYC restaurant within The Stewart Hotel. Their menu has a nice variety of options to satisfy every palate. The service was great and the freshly squeezed orange juice was a nice, refreshing treat.
What’s Better Than One?
I know all of my lady and gent Eclectic Chic readers with a passion for fashion will have a true appreciation for this one. Although transporting your entire wardrobe to NYC for fashion week is not an option, The Stewart has come up with the perfect solution. In my suite, there was not 1, but 2 closets that provided me with the space I needed to set out my outfits, shoes and purses. Thank goodness Doice came to visit, because he was the one who opened the door and said, “did you know you have a second closet?”. I did not know, but was very excited when I found out. Attention Eclectic Chic family! During your stay at The Stewart, please do not make this same mistake. Feel free to spread out and utilize both closets.
Hustle and Bustle of NYC
As a Michigan girl, coming from the motor city, I am used to driving a lot. Actually, to say that I drive a lot is an understatement. As simple as it sounds, one of my favorite things to do in NYC is walking around the city. I love being in the hustle and bustle, while site seeing and stumbling upon new restaurants and shops. The Stewart is located comfortably within the heart of the city, making it easy for me to travel on foot to a lot of nice attractions. When I was not sure of where to go or how to get there, The Stewart concierge made me feel at ease by mapping out the best routes for me. I appreciated that so much!
Chic and Modern Queen Bedroom
During your stay at The Stewart, you can expect to see their signature interiors with the contemporary floral wall patterns in grey. My bedroom and vanity at home are also decorated with varying hues of grey for a nice calming effect. Well, you know what they say. “Great minds think alike”!
Is It Really Time To Go?
I’ve had such a wonderful stay here. NYC is definitely my home away from home, and I have discovered a wonderful gem here in The Stewart Hotel. Although I pondered the idea of staying at The Stewart indefinitely, I know that it is time to go back to the mitten. Until next time…
Thank you again to our new friends at The Stewart for making my stay more than I could have hoped for. Planning a trip to NYC? Be sure to contact The Stewart to make your reservations today: https://www.stewarthotelnyc.com/
