Happy Makeup and Beauty Monday beauties!! Ok. You caught me. I know that it is actually Tuesday. I flew in from Knoxville yesterday, after wrapping up my 10th auto show this season, and went straight to the office for scheduled meetings and to facilitate therapy sessions…therapist during the week; agency-signed model during the weekend. Anyways, I was so excited to share this blog post with you, that I could not even fathom the idea of waiting until next Monday.
Eclectic Chic is and has been an affiliate of e.l.f. Cosmetics since November 2017. e.l.f. presents good quality products at an affordable price. Some of the e.l.f. products start at a price as low as $1. Wow! You don’t have to tell me twice. I was on the e.l.f. website in a heartbeat, and took my time looking at the variety of displayed makeup and skincare products. I ordered an “eclectic” handful of lipsticks and skincare products that really stood out to me.
Check out my YouTube video above. It is a tutorial demonstrating how I incorporate these e.l.f. products into my morning and nighttime skincare routine. Give it a “thumbs up” if my video helped, and feel free to subscribe to my channel, too! Thanks for the love and support! As promised, here are the e.l.f. beauty products that I featured in this video:
- Beauty Shield Vitamin C Pollution Prevention Serum – $16.00
- Hydrating Water Essence – $10.00
- Charcoal Hydrogel Under Eye Masks – $8.00
Now y’all know that I love a good serum…ok, so I’ve still got a little bit of the Knoxville in me. The Beauty Shield Vitamin C Pollution Prevention Serum nourishes your skin with key antioxidants, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and Pomegranate Extract. These key ingredients are known to refine, brighten and even one’s skin tone, while protecting against the effects of environmental elements we encounter during our daily routines. After I cleanse my skin, I pat my face and neck dry with my washcloth or towel. Then I apply 4-5 drops of the serum and massage into my face and neck area.
After applying the serum, I apply the Hydrating Water Essence. This is a lightweight formula that provides your skin with purified water, coconut water, algae and coffee. Essences are a wonderful source of moisture and hydration that my dry skin craves. I begin with a quarter-size amount of essence, then apply more as needed if my skin still feels tight. This serum-essence duo has become the cherry on top of my already “jam-packed with goodness” beauty routine that I implement in the morning and at night.
With the many long work days that come with juggling the responsibilities of my private practice, facilitating therapy through a non-profit organization, and modeling, also comes the unwanted sleepy eyes. Thus far, I have been working 40 days straight, so I have to stay proactive when it comes to combating tired-looking eyes. I was turned on to eye masks last summer and have been in love with them ever since. When I found out about e.l.f.’s new Charcoal Hydrogel Under Eye Masks, I knew that I had to order them and share my experience with you guys. These eye masks were created to “plump, detox, and soothe the under eye area”. The pack includes 3 sets of nourishing under eye masks, which help to brighten the skin and reduce the appearance of tired looking eyes. They are made with purified water, charcoal, seaweed extract, and licorice. I only apply these under eye masks as needed, which is typically once every other week. A beauty tip, that I share with you in my YouTube video, is to apply these eye masks before applying your eyeshadow and other eye makeup. This helps to catch the extra eyeshadow fallout from the brush, and leaves you with a polished and crisp look. Perfect especially for those who want to capture that sexy, “chic” smokey eye. Not to mention the fact that it allows you to multitask during the 10-15 minutes that you are instructed to keep the eye masks on for.

Love reading your blog. I’m interested in finding a product that’s restored and lifts the face. Also to reduce eyes bags. As you know older women’s facial skin tags. Trying not to have that happen to me just yet. lol
