Hey Eclectic Chic family! Guess what today is? Today is National Hat Day! Although I’m not a huge fan of the winter season, I believe that winter hats are the best accessory that serve as the cherries on top to bring together the entire winter fashion look. Not to mention the fact that since today is soooo incredibly chilly, that it is a day befitting for us all to wear our hats! Brrrrr! So without further ado, I present to you my top favorite winter hats! One, two, three…let’s go!
Guess What Today Is?
Can I Tell You A Secret?
Can I tell you a secret? The hat in my first look pictured above makes me feel like a Peter Cottontail bunny rabbit. Silly, right? I love how lightweight the cable knit pattern feels on top of my head. I can’t help but every once in awhile reaching up and batting the soft pom pom tail back and forth a few times. This Shiraleah Myla Knit Hat from Nordstrom is one of my absolute favorites, and the faint pink color goes nicely with any style or look.

Bonjour Nostalgia!
Growing up, I remember berets making their debut into my life with the 90s pop culture classic, Clueless. I had never worn one before, but appreciated the preppy, chic style that berets exhibited while lightly perched upon the heads of the many affluent high school characters in this “fan favorite” movie. The first time I traveled to Europe, I was 14 years old. I was nominated and went abroad as a People to People Student Ambassador to Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, The Netherlands, England, and you guessed it…France! This black beret, with the renowned Eiffel tower in the French flag colors, is one of my favorite souvenirs from my European excursion. It takes me back to the dazzling lights of the Eiffel Tower and France every time I wear it. Bonjour!

Hey Baker!
The next look features the Nordstrom BP Mesh Bow Beanie. The tightly woven grey cap, with an unexpected black mesh bow on the center of the top make this hat a whimsical addition to any outfit. Who doesn’t love a good bow?…and of course a blog photoshoot would not be complete without running into someone you know. During our time at Seaholm High School, I was on the dance team, and Mrs. Vasileff’s twins played football. My mom and Mrs. Vasileff were known as the “loud moms” at the football games because they would cheer very, very loudly for everyone. I’m so happy that the Vasileff’s dog, Baker was allowed to make his debut on this blog post.

I bid you adieu!
So long Henri Bendel! I bid you adieu! You will be missed. Although shoppers are busy saying good-bye to the cute women’s accessories store, we felt that we couldn’t leave them out of our Eclectic Chic hat’s feature. This neat little gift-with-purchase (I got this with my Henri Bendel West 57th briefcase that my parents gifted me with for my Dayspring Vision Counseling, PLLC Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Open House) that I’m wearing is a snugger version of the beanie with the mesh bow. It has a casual, everyday style with black, red and white colors. This knit design fits closely to your head to keep the chill out. Absolutely no cold air ever creeps in when I am wearing this hat. I am all about that #WarmthLife!

Where The Wild Things Are
There’s nothing like a great pair of ear muffs to keep your ears nice and insulated, without giving you that dreaded hat hair! Success! Pictured above are the Nordstrom BP Multicolor Faux Fur Earmuffs. They have nice highlights of bright yellow, royal blue, and fuchsia. I love the playful vibe they exude. Whenever I wear these earmuffs, I feel like I’m letting out my inner animal while showing off a posh version of Where The Wild Things Are. Who else loved that book and movie?
