Happy Fashion Friday to my beautiful Eclectic Chic fam!! I am truly exhausted from this week. I saw back-to-back clients for psychotherapy at my practice from 10am to 8pm yesterday. Then, I jetted to go to Dave And Busters for a family friend’s birthday. It was sooo much fun! I have taken it easy today…but, couldn’t wait any longer to share this blog post with you. Have you ever had so many events in one day, but not any time to change your outfits in between? Sure. We’ve all been there. This post is going to walk you through with 4 easy steps that will assist you in putting together the perfect day-to-night ensemble. Enjoy!
1. Wear Comfortable, Yet Chic Shoes
Comfortable, reliable shoes are so necessary when you have events to attend the entire day. A cute pump with a moderate heel will serve you well at the office, for a lunchtime meeting, and for a dinner with family, friends or that special someone. The heels I wore were the Ted Baker Melnip floral print high heels. They were light, airy, and fit my foot so perfectly. I could confidently stomp the streets of Downtown Birmingham during my day in these beautiful shoes.

2. Carry A Modest-Sized Purse
When you’re going, going, going like the Duracell Bunny, there are belongings that you just cannot leave at home. Phone. Check. Wallet. Check. Lipstick. Check. Paper and pen. Check, check. Mints. Yes, please…especially depending on what you are eating for lunch and dinner. I had the most delightful tuna melt from Townhouse. Wonderful service, too. Anyways, I digress. A modest-sized purse will allow you to carry all of the things you need without bogging you down with heavy weight. It’s the “just right goldilocks” fit that is perfect for a day-to-night look.

3. Short to Mid-Length Dresses Are The Way To Go
Short to mid-length dresses allow for you to move and groove through your day. If you decide on a shorter dress, choose one that is not too tight and flares out at the waistline. This style will give your look a fun-spirited vibe without being too casual. If you add more length to your dress, you have more flexibility with different styles you can wear. What I chose to wear was a light pink, mid-length Calvin Klein dress with cascading ruffles ending in a neat slit. With the extra length, you can wear a more form-fitting dress to look sexy and sophisticated during the nighttime, without risking your look being inappropriate for your daytime activities.
4. Accessorize With Minimal Jewelry
What’s a day-to-night look without the perfect pop of bling. Minimal jewelry adds some pizzaz to your ensemble without cluttering your look or being inappropriate for any of the events you have to attend during your day. In this picture, I chose to offset the pastel colors and pale pinks with a three-tiered olive green drop earrings. Of course, I didn’t forget my rose gold Michael Kors watch that I wear every day to make sure that I am on time and right on track with my schedule.
There you have it! 4 simple steps for your perfect day-to-night ensemble. Easy peasy! I hope you loved this blog post! Enjoy the rest of your Friday and have a wonderful weekend, fam!
