I hope you all are having a wonderful Makeup and Beauty Monday! So as promised, I’m bringing you an Influenster VoxBox beauty review. Hair care, especially hair care products that cater to a diverse range of people, is extremely important to me. I bet you can imagine how excited I was when I found out that I would be receiving a new SheaMoisture product. I can’t wait to tell you all about it!!
Ok, so growing up during the 90s was wonderful. The toys, cartoons, clothes, everything!! One of the few things that I do not miss about the 90s is having to commute far away from my home in the suburbs to find and buy products that cater to my hair. There is nothing that makes you feel more like a fish out of water than being a minority woman trying to shop in the small, rinky dink “ethnic hair care” section within mainstream suburban stores. Sigh. Now, fast forward 20 years, and it looks like there is more time and effort put into incorporating more diversity into the products offered in mainstream stores. I squealed and jumped up and down (I’m so glad no one was around to witness that) when I saw traditional size AND travel size Shea Moisture products were now being offered at one of the stores I shop at frequently in the suburbs. This shows so much progress and makes me really happy! I LOVE Sheamoisture products, and have fallen in love with their Raw Shea Butter with Sea Kelp & Argan Oil shampoo, conditioner, and deep treatment masque!! When Influenster reached out to me to review new Shea Moisture products, I was beyond excited. The African Black Soap Bamboo Charcoal Pre-Shampoo Scalp Scrub was a real treat. I tend to have dry skin and hair, so this invigorating scrub left my scalp feeling healthy and clean. I loved the cool, tingly feeling on my scalp, too.
What are your favorite hair care products? Do you all love Shea Moisture as much as I do? Let me know your thoughts and if there is any other type of hair care product reviews you would like Eclectic Chic to do in the future. Well, I’m super sleepy, and this will be the busiest week thus far at my practice. I’m going to get some much deserved peaceful and restorative shut eye. Good night and sweet dreams!
