Happy Eclectic Chic Therapy Thursday! Last week this time, we were all enjoying a nice holiday and celebration of gratitude. A week or so before Thanksgiving, we experienced a huge snowfall here in Michigan…which made me begin to feel the winter wonderland magic. I suddenly had a strong urge to briskly run out to pick out a tree, and begin listening to Christmas music (“Carol of the Bells” is one of my favorite Christmas songs). Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, it is safe to put up our Christmas decorations, without receiving an eye roll or quick smirk from those around us who may not be in such a rush.
When I began receiving inquiries from my clients as to where my holiday decorations were, I took that as the green light to spruce up my office with a bit of holiday cheer. I am so grateful that my practice caseload is completely full, and I am able to serve such a diverse range of individuals. I work with a variety of age ranges, ethnicities, nationalities, religious backgrounds, and even individuals who do not celebrate holidays at all. So, how am I going to do this? How do I add a bit of holiday cheer to my office without stepping on any toes? How does one seamlessly complete what may appear to be an insurmountable task? Ok let’s do this Eclectic Chic family!
Put Up The Wreath
This wreath is adorned with pine cones, cotton, leaves, and a sprinkle of sparkly snow. Since this wreath is reusable, it is low-maintenance and cost-effective. No water required.
Tabletop Christmas Trees
When picking out which tabletop Christmas Trees would fit neatly on the window sill, I wanted to keep in mind the color scheme of my office. My office has a neutral palette of light grey and creme colors. The white birch and gold-coated wicker add a subtle whisper of holiday magic to the outer edge of the office.
Reindeers Meet Pinecones
Now Dasher, now Dancer, now Prancer, now Vixen. Perhaps this reindeer is Comet, or Cupid, or Donner, or Blitzen…Put your vote in the comments below. His cute little black, button nose rules out the possibility of him being Rudolph. Hmmmm….I wonder.
Miniature Sleigh
What are reindeers without a sleigh to pull. The pine cones nestled in the wooden carriage brings the entire theme together.
Ta-Da!! All Done!
There you have it, Eclectic Chic fam! Easy does it. What are some of your favorite ways to decorate your office or home? Leave your favorite holiday style and decoration tips in the comments. Good night and sweet dreams!
