Happy Makeup and Beauty Monday! I am so excited to share with you some very big news! Eclectic Chic is now a part of the Influenster community, and I have received my first VoxBox. When I found out that my first Influenster VoxBox would feature an exclusive Origins product, I was overjoyed! Origins makes great quality products that help you to restore and maintain much needed moisture for one’s skin. If you have not already done so, make sure to check out my recent blog post on Eclectic Chic’s Top 10 Favorite Winter Beauty Products to see my review of one of my favorite Origins products, A Perfect World body cream.
Now back to this blog post. I will give you a sneak peek into the behind the scenes of an exclusive Origins launch events, and review the Original Skin Pore Perfecting Cooling Primer.
I had the pleasure of attending the Original Skin launch party at Origins Somerset North in Troy, Michigan. This team did a wonderful job on planning and bringing to life this nice event. The beautifully displayed primers, delicious mini cupcakes, and strawberry infused lemonade came in varying shades of pink, and were presented in an aesthetically pleasing manner…very chic!
Check out my YouTube review of the Origins Pore Perfecting Cooling Primer for more details on my impressions of this product. Don’t forget to subscribe to my channel, and give it a “thumbs up” if you found my review to be helpful, and you enjoyed my video! Thanks for the support! Hugs!
I received the Original Skin Pore Perfecting Cooling Primer complimentary for review from Origins and Influenster. My first impressions were that the product is a nice size and easy to dispense. The substance that came out of the dispenser was a lightweight foam, that felt very ice cold when I put the product onto my fingertips…I absolutely loved this about the product. I typically put my face masks and other facial beauty products in the refrigerator to give it a nice cold feel. It was a nice surprise that I could leave this product out on my bathroom countertop, and nonetheless, it still had the same cool and refreshing effect that my products that I place in the refrigerator do.
When I gently rubbed the product onto my face, the cool temperature was nice and refreshing. I felt my pores tightening, and it gave a nice, clean canvas to prep my face and prepare it for my makeup application. I noticed that my makeup went onto my skin in an easier and cleaner fashion. With the primer as a base, my makeup stayed looking polished the entire day (without the primer, my makeup typically fades, or doesn’t look as neat as the day goes on).
The downsides were that the product made my skin feel very dry and tight the first time I applied it. The second time I used this product, I put on a lot more moisturizer prior to putting on the primer, and my skin did not feel as dry. Also, I felt that the primer had a light tint to it, which made my brown skin look a shade lighter than my neck region. This product would be perfect if it came in a diverse range of tints, or no tint at all. What do you all think? Is it difficult finding a primer that does not tint your skin? Or one that matches your skin tone?

Thanks for the review. I am looking for a moisturIZER, but also want to Tighten my face. At my age facial skin loses it’s firmness. I’d like to delay that as long as possible.?

You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but
I find this matter to be actually something which I think
I would never understand. It seems too complex and extremely broad for me.
I’m looking forward for your next post, I will try to get
the hang of it!
