Here we go! Part 2 of our Eclectic Chic Therapy Thursday double feature. Shortly after Dayspring Vision Counseling, PLLC moved into our new office suite, I joined the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce. I am so excited to have had the pleasure of the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber, as well as my family, friends, and colleagues within the community join me in celebrating the Grand Opening of Dayspring Vision Counseling, PLLC. I cannot believe it has been two weeks already, and I am still overwhelmed by the amount of love and support I’ve received. Please enjoy these highlights from this recent event.

My Family

I have to give a HUGE thank-you to my parents and my auntie Sherry for all of the love and support they have given me. Not only did they help tremendously while preparing for my open house. They have been there for me during this entire 10 year process and more. You guys are the best!

2 years ago, one of my co-workers, Anna Marie, surprised me with a dozen homemade cupcakes for my birthday. My birthday treat consisted of a unique array of flavors. Cannoli. Carrot cake. Heaven. No, I’m just kidding. There was no heaven flavor…but they were absolutely heavenly. These delicious cupcakes made my birthday work celebration extra special and made a longlasting impression. Needless to say, when I began organizing my open house, Anna Marie’s business, Nona’s Delights, immediately came to mind. I wanted to share these sweet treats with my guests.

Thank you so much Anna Marie for these beautifully decorated cupcakes in my favorite flavors, lemon, raspberry, chocolate, spice and vanilla…and guess what else? Anna Marie designed the cupcakes to look exactly like the flowers portrayed in the Dayspring Vision Counseling logo design…with a light coat of pixie dust sparkles. Don’t sparkles make everything better? I think so too.

I can’t forget to give a shout out to my mom, “Bob the builder” and “Catie the caterer” as she likes to call herself. She greatly helped with preparing the appetizers, food and refreshments. We also worked together to quickly decorate the interior of my office suite so that it would be up and running in time to see the increasing number of new clients. I am so honored that I had the opportunity to share a few words following the actual ribbon cutting portion. I am excited to have my career path bring me full circle into an opportunity to service the community that has supported and nurtured me. I’m honored to be a part of the mental health community and I look forward to working together with everyone as we continue to move our community forward with positive mental health awareness and support.

“That’s My Baby!” – Mom

My mom and dad got me this lovely Henri Bendel briefcase as a present. I am so grateful! Not only is it all-business and practical. It has a feminine, chic design that made me absolutely fall in love with it at first sight. Do you know how difficult it is finding a briefcase made for a woman? Most of the designs out there are only for men. My parents figured after seeing me try to wrestle folders into and out of my big tote purses, that it was time to go all the way into #adulting mode. I’m excited that my parents found me something that’s perfect for my new business, and also fits my style.

…and this is where the fun part starts. I would like you to meet my village. My family, friends and colleagues that have supported me, my mission and my endeavors. The individuals who nurtured each and every one of my dreams…within reason (the skydiving, not so much). I want to send out a HUGE thank you to everyone who thought enough of me and my new business to take time out of their schedule to come celebrate with me and wish me well. The rooms were overflowing with so much positivity and love! Thank you so much again!
